Communication Skills Online

Communication Skills Online is part of Clinical Skills Online and was created to provide an example of a consultation demonstrating some of the objectives and skills included in the Calgary-Cambridge Guide (Silverman J, Kurtz S, Draper J. Skills for Communicating with Patients. 2005. Radcliffe Medical Press: Oxford). These videos illustrate the different phases of a clinical interview.
Please note that the Clinical Skills Online (CSO) videos are only suitable for viewing by adults of at least 18 years of age, or 21 years of age depending on your location. Please note this site is also registered with the ICRA content rating system.

The clinical skills videos have been created at the ‘lowest common denominator’ level for a host of medical and health care related disciplines with a view to share with the wider community. Please also be aware that there maybe slight variations in the procedures, shown in the videos, from institution to institution depending on policies and equipment used.

You are allowed to copy or download content in any way for your own personal, educational and non-commercial use provided that SGUL, the HEA and its partners, where applicable, are acknowledged appropriately.
